History
The Drink Exchange was the brain-child of the two founders, Miles Jarvis and Chris Dunkley. Whilst studying at University in Nottingham they founded the business.
The Drink Exchange was born BAR FooTSiE, until in 2007 the LSE ‘asked’ us to stop using our Trademarked name. BAR FooTSiE was a mobile event-based service, running predominantly and throughout pretty much the entire UK Student Union Bar market.
In late 2005 The Drink Exchange began it’s POS integration journey. This allowed bars to run using their own POS systems, just having to link this to their in-house TV screens.
In addition to our 100+ POS integrations, we have recently developed our own POS platform – PeoplesPOS. This opens The Drink Exchange up to bars without their own POS system.
The Drink Exchange has traded all across the world and in some amazing venues – from Bermuda to Dubai, Jamaica, Hong Kong, Malta, India, France, Spain, Gibraltar, Mongolia, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Jordan, Canada, Germany, China, Malaysia, and obviously, it’s home, the UK.
